First off, I want to thank each of you for agreeing to be a part of our wedding. I'm really excited to have you all there supporting me on the big day in June as my groomsmen.
I also wanted to let you know that we've just published our Wedding Party Bios - so go take a look and see if you'd like me to change anything I've written about you.
Below is everything you need to know about the wedding weekend and your responsibilities as groomsmen.
Important Dates & Logistics
Rehearsal - June 20th
- Time: 5:00 PM
- Location: Plunkett House, Boulder
- Afterward: Wedding welcome party featuring Detroit-style pizza and beer
- Note: If you can't make the rehearsal, that's okay - just let me know
Wedding Day - June 21st
- Ceremony Time: 3:00 PM
- Getting Ready: You're welcome (and encouraged) to join me at the house to get read starting at 11:00 AM. Don't worry, we'll have lunch.
- Transportation:
- Preferred: Uber directly to the venue if possible
- Alternative: Take the provided shuttle (details to follow)
- Bottom line: As long as you make it on the bus, we're good!
Your Role During the Ceremony
We're going with a slightly different approach for the ceremony:
- You'll walk down the aisle as traditional groomsmen
- Instead of standing up front during the ceremony, you'll be seated in the front row
- This is due to space constraints at the alter area. Your real heavy lifting roles will come later when we ask you to tear up the dance floor
Attire: True Black Tie
We're going tux's boys. And yes, it's because I think I look excellent in them.
I'm requesting classic black tie attire from all my groomsmen:
- Black tuxedo
- Black bow tie
- No vest or cummerbund necessary
